More Than Meets the Eye
"Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers."
Galatians 6:9-10
No matter what season, I love being close to water. One thing that amazes me about rivers is how what's on the surface can be much different than what's below. Rivers are full of all kinds of undertows and currents that aren't always apparent until you're in them. When driving by a section of the Pemi River, I noticed what was typically a rather boisterous and rapid section, had almost completely frozen over. The surface was almost completely flat and motionless, yet underneath I knew there existed a strong current of water. This served as a reminder to me that God is working in ways we often can't see from the surface. There are seasons of life where it's easy to wonder if our work, relationships, parenting, service and ministry are really having an impact in His kingdom. Over the past few weeks I have heard and seen multiple instances of God using believers to work in the lives of others in ways they never even realized. Be Encouraged! God is using you in people, in places and in ways that you are not even aware of. Keep demonstrating and declaring the love of Jesus and let him use you to build his Kingdom in ways both seen and unseen!
