One of Life’s Greatest Joys
“It is written: “I believed; therefore I have spoken.” Since we have that same spirit of faith, we also believe and therefore speak, because we know that the one who raised the Lord Jesus from the dead will also raise us with Jesus and present us with you to himself. All this is for your benefit, so that the grace that is reaching more and more people may cause thanksgiving to overflow to the glory of God.” - 2 Corinthians 4:13-15
Gratitude being a joy in itself is not a thought that had crossed my mind before, but I couldn't agree more. Every day is full of blessings both big and small. Life, breath, food, clothing, shelter, people, beauty…..Praise God! When we express gratitude to God for his blessings it's like we get to experience joy again! Gratitude brings God glory but it is also for our good!. Did you know that God actually commands us to give thanks? I believe it's because gratitude and joy are deeply intertwined. Do you feel like your life is deficient in joy? Try committing yourself to a life of constant gratitude and ask for God to fill you with his Spirit of Joy. I believe He will!
