Snowboarders and Skiers for Christ Camp

This past weekend was our annual Snowboarders and Skiers for Christ (SFC) camp. With 23 campers, it was our biggest year yet! The theme of this year's camp was "Be A Light." The campers received bible lessons on Friday and Saturday night, as well as on hill devotionals focused on that. Campers were challenged to think about how God designed them to reflect Himself to the world and to think about practical ways that they could be a light both during the weekend and when they went home.

I asked some coaches to share about their experience at camp. Randy Schroeder said, "Camp was so fun to learn and goof off alongside the campers, but what really made the week special was their eager engagement with big questions of the faith."

That itself is the heart of why we do camp. At Loon Mountain Ministry, one of our values is "Sharing the good news of Jesus through word and deed in relationships and shared common experiences." We get to share Christ with these kids, and others at the mountain, through the shared common experience of skiing and snowboarding. That is pretty awesome! Jesus wants to be apart of and shared with every faucet of our lives.

Where will you share with others about Jesus?
