Whatever You Do

“And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.” - Colossians‬ ‭3:17‬ ‭ESV‬‬

I’m reading through Colossians right now and this passage stuck out to me this morning and reminded me of a phrase you might be familiar with. The phrase is, “there’s no separation between the secular and the sacred.”

In other words, no matter what you find yourself doing: all things you do, in word and deed, provide opportunity to worship and glorify God. Whether you’re changing a diaper, standing in front of a sink with dirty dishes, sending emails at your office job, or chatting with a neighbor - opportunities are plenty!

Maybe for you it’s dishes - you have an opportunity to worship! Thank God for the food that was on the plates, for the people who ate off the plates, ect. Maybe for you it’s emails - worship opportunity! Thank God for your job, pray for opportunities to share about Christ with your co-workers, share with your co-workers something God has done in your life, and share the Gospel with them.

Each day, each moment, is an opportunity to worship & glorify God. Let’s not waste them!
