When Jesus taught His disciples to pray, He said, “Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.” In a sense, Jesus taught us to pray for heaven to invade earth—for the goodness, peace, wholeness, and rule of God to become a reality here.

Ask yourself: what am I striving for right now? How have I spent my time and money this year? If I died today and gave an account to God, would He say, “Well done, good and faithful servant.” – or would He say, “I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness.”
