God’s Creation and His People

"God showed how much he loved us by sending his one and only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through him. This is real love—not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins. Dear friends, since God loved us that much, we surely ought to love each other." 1 John 4:9-11

It's incredible to look out over the beauty of the amphitheater at Loon. When we look out at the mountains and rivers, there is no denying that creation sings the praise and glory of God. However, I was on the mountain this week and couldn't help but notice the difference I felt when the people were missing. Our Heavenly Father, Creator of all things, could have made his home on any mountain or in any beautiful setting he desired. Instead, he loved us so much more that he decided to make his home in the hearts of his people. Wow! His love for us is so much greater than any other created thing and so should our love for one another be!
