Where Do We Go from Here?

It was so great to see so many of you this past Sunday for Easter, whether it was on the mountain top or in town in the coffee shop. He IS risen!

The day of the crucifixion was dark, seemingly hopeless. But hope was still lingering. In the midst of despair, it is easy to relate to the disciples when Jesus hung dead on the cross, it was as if they forgot Jesus had promised them He would rise again.

How often we do the same...in our trials and suffering, we forget about God or we forget that He is good. But He is GOOD. Easter brings a time of remembrance to the foundation of our faith - that while we were STILL sinners, Christ died for us. And after that, He rose! He took the penalty for our sins and gave us the promise of eternal life for all who would put their faith in Him.

When life seems dark - remember this, if God sent His only Son to die for you, you can rest assure He cares, He sees, and He hurts when you hurt. You are not alone, you never have been. God is called Father because that's what He wants to be to you.

God wants to be in a relationship with you, so He sent His one and Only Son Jesus to die for you, to remove the barrier of sin between you and Him. Then Jesus rose, giving us eternal hope and opportunity for a relationship with God in Heaven forever. He is waiting and wanting you to turn to Him. God loves you, to the cross and back. Happy Easter! Now let's keep celebrating this truth year round!
