His Abundant Pasture
"Know that the Lord, he is God! It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture."
Psalm 100:3
You've probably been told at least once in your life the phrase, "it's always greener on the other side of the fence." It's so easy to look at others and compare and contrast our lives. "If only" we were in their season of life, things would be easier. "If only" we were less busy like them, we'd have more time. "If only" our kids behaved well, we'd be less tired. "If only" we had more money like them, we wouldn't worry about our bills. "If only" we had an easier job, we wouldn't be so stressed. You can endlessly "if only" if you want to.
The thing is, we weren't meant to look to the other side of the fence. You were meant to look up! God did not create you to continuously compare yourself to one another but to Jesus. Don't look side to side, look to Him!
If you've put your faith in Christ, you are the sheep of His pasture. It isn't greener in any other pasture! He made you and you are His. His pasture is full of abundance. We see the abundance not when we compare to other pastures but when we gaze on Him. Jesus is the abundance! He gave His life on the cross and rose from the grave for you. For all. God is a GOOD Shepherd. He cares for you. Keep your eyes fixed on Him friends!
