The Moon is Always Round

The last couple weeks have been quite a whirlwind for my family and I. Just over two weeks ago, we found out that our 3rd child, who my wife had been carrying for 35 weeks was no longer living. The next several hours were some of the darkest we have ever faced as my wive gave birth to our stillborn daughter Selah Elise. Even in the face of great tragedy, God has surrounded us with peace and comfort that only He could give, as well as the love, comfort and encouragement of family and friends. One of the many encouragements, shared with us by multiple friends, came in the form of a children's book called "The Moon Is Always Round" by Jonathan Gibson. In it, a father points out to his son that although the moon can take on different shapes, we know in fact that the moon is always round. In the same way, there are dark times in our lives when it can be difficult to see God's goodness, but we know and believe that God is always good. We are thankful for this and many other reminders of the truth which is the anchor for our souls. God has indeed been good to us through this difficulty. We see it clearly as he has already used it to restore relationships and draw people to himself. We are so thankful for the hope we have that our little girl is with Jesus and that we will be reunited with her again one day. Thank you for your love, prayers and support.
